Cool Finds on Etsy

It's been awhile since I've done a 'Cool Finds' and since my baby girl's birthday is fast approaching, I thought I would share what I've been checkin' out!

I'm a sucker for cute hats (even though she rarely keeps them on!).

I LOVE the colors from SweetSavannah's Quinn Hat

If I'm feeling up to it, I might attempt to make her one of these awesome Indoor Teepee's from MoozleHome

BitOfWhimsyPrims always has adorable toys. These two are my favorites:

And this is tooooo cool!

From BeaverBoatworks,

A baby BOAT cradle

along with the wagon wheel kit...Ari would be having a blast!

I'm Supposed to be Making Soap!

Did I mention these were really quick to make?

This is a test version of a bag I'm making for my Mom. I wanted to see how the prints went together.

I think they go well, what do you think?

Since I have no use for little purses, this guy is already listed on Etsy, here.

I posted it as an 'Oops' since the thread lines where I attached the straps is a little wonky on the interior. Nothing major and only cosmetically ugly on the inside.

So head on over and snatch this up for a great price!

New Purse

I'm really lovin' this bag!

I made this lovely last night in an XL size...

15" wide, 10" tall with a 24" total strap length.

PERFECT size in my opinion!

I love the Avocado Green color paired with Michael Miller's Pod Vine fabric.

There are two interior pockets and a magnetic snap closure

It is available on my Etsy page HERE for $34

Newest Purse Expedition

I've been toying around with different purse/bag designs lately. Since not everyone like a hardy bag like I do, so I made up this cute little number.

It's about 12" wide and 8" tall.

The strap is too short, so that will defiantly become longer if I decide to make and sell more of these.

So what do you think?

What's your purse style?

Soap Molds avail on Etsy

Yes, I am still trying to get rid of these molds.

Lol! I hate eBay...with a passion anymore, so I listed them on Etsy.

You can find them HERE.

There are 49 total, and including shipping, less than $2/ea. That is an AMAZING price if you've ever looked at buying some molds.

A great way for someone to start a small Melt and Pour soap making business *wink, wink* Or fun as a variety for X-Mas gifts (how I go t started...sigh)

If you live outside the states and are interested, let me know and I can get an international shipping quote to you.

73% of my lovely readers voted it in.

You'll be able to pick up your own bar at Gassner Custom Soaps or in my Etsy Shop by Mid July

ArtFire ** EDIT**

So I've decided to give ArtFire a go...I know several of you already have an account, so if you want the kudos for referring me, let me know your user name

Thanks!

I'm now offically a member of ArtFire!

You can find me here, as well as this in the side bar:

A New Purse...and It's For Sale!

Thanks to Andrea and Teresa for their kind words about the bag I made here, I decided to go ahead and make a few up to list in my Other Etsy Shop.

I made this bag up last night, and hope to list it soon.

I LOVE the outer fabric.

It's a faux tooled leather, kind of a western flair with a deep blue lining. There is one pocket on the inside and I'm thinking I should have added some sort of zipper or clasp. Oh well. Next time, right?

It's a good size bag, perfect for the market, a day at the beach, or just for a woman with a lot of stuff!

Outer measurements are 10.5" x 13.5" x 4.5" and the total strap length is 25.5".

Here Ali is modeling it for me...

If you're wanting it before I list it, let me know...because who knows when it will finally make it onto Etsy!

I'll be making more too. Every bag will be a one of a kind and never reproduced.

New Soaps...and Need Help With a Name

I managed to get three batches of soap made up yesterday and thought I would share some photos.

Green Tea & Cucumber w/ cranberry seeds

I thought it was odd the seeds 'in' the soap turned black, anyone else have that happen?

And the unnamed blend of Orange, Lavender, & Patchouli EO's and I LOVE it!

I need a little help naming it. Any ideas?

I was thinking Sublime, Renaissance Faire, or Paradox, what are your ideas?

Let me know in the poll in the side bar...maybe you'll end up with a free bar in your mailbox if I like your suggestion!

Spring Soap Challenge

I've been procrastinating.

The deadline for the spring soap challenge was over a week ago, and sadly there were only 2 entries! That's really not enough for a contest, so I will be sending goodies to both participants as a Big Thanks for entering.
(please email me your mailing address to gassner@gassnercustomsoaps.com)

Nuria made these lovely flower soaps. I'm not sure what scent they are, but Nuria has lots of other beautiful soaps on her blog, so go check them out

And Amber made up these awesome hot process soaps. They are Magnolia scented and leaves are herbal scented...just like a real flower would be.
She molded the shape herself, only cutting the notches between the two layers.

I did make some soaps, but nothing compared to these ladies!
Here is my Island Orchard. It was a rebatch too, so I'm surprised they turned out at all! Lol

Whew, That Went Fast!

I was planning on doing a special for my 300th Etsy sale...

I *planned* on posting about it this weekend, since I've sitting on 291 sales for the last week.

All this *planning* was put off far too long since I had a little rush tonight with 11 items sold, pushing me over 300 sales!

I love Etsy
