Valentine Goodness

I hadn't planned on making any Valentines soaps...I'm just not feeling it.

But a wonderful customer of mined asked if I could make something she had seen elsewhere, and who am I to deny a customer!

So here is my heart....four chambers and all *hehe*

I've been busy today making the girls some twirly skirts for Valentines Day...

I had wanted to get some Christmas ones done up, but that entire month just disappeared somewhere! Lol

I've been wanting to make more and more clothes for the girls (like they need it!) And hopefully some for the new baby too. But that will have to wait until we know what it is :D

I've been thinking about making some clothes to sell too...things are tight all over and a little extra income wouldn't hurt...

So maybe a twirly skirt? Or a Dress or Top like these?

Monkey Love

A few weeks back I was on a MAJOR Sock Monkey kick...what did I do? I bought about 20 yards of this!

And finally got around to making something with it...

Neither of the girls really wanted to stand still, so please excuse the horrible shots.

I think I will shorten Ali's up a bit, more of a long shirt than a dress

But I think Ari looks pretty adorable in her, but I'm a little bias ;)

Mango Papaya

I'm loving this scent!

It will be a perfect spring/summer fragrance!

Since I don't think I will be making too much soap the bigger I get, I figured I better jump start my scent lines for the rest of the year.

I bought a bunch of fruity scents to make and when they're all done, I'll buy some nice fall and winter scents too...

So tell me, what are your favorite scents for the fall and winter? I know, I know. We all want to to be OVER already! Lol

Doggy Days

Some of you may remember reading about our new 'pup' Missy here and here

Well, since the sun has gone away for the winter, we're having a bit of a problem with her chewing on stuff out of boredom. And might you guess what she decided to rip into the other morning? Fishing hooks, yup, treble hooks even.

So better part of the day was spent taking her into the emergency vet to sedate her and remove the dang thing! Silly Dog!!

And speaking of doggy love...Max, the big lumbering pooch belonging to Heather at Twin Birch could really use your thoughts right now. Seams he too had a emergency visit to the vet but with something a little more serious then a fish hook in his lip

Soap, how I Miss Thee....

It has been 2 months since I last made soap....and I'm frothing at the bit!

I received my order on FO's yesterday and wanted to badly to use some...but my kitchen was a MESS.

So I started to clean it, but by the time I was done, the fumes from the few bottle that leaked a little were making me SOO nauseous I had to take them back outside and lay down for a bit. *pout*

But now I have a clean kitchen and a brand new day, I'll start out with some 'Simply Soap' which is unscented and no colors added.

I know some of you fellow soap makers have made soap while expecting, any other precaution other than the usual I should know about?

I must apologize for being such a slacker lately! Geeze!

The last week was soooo long and busy at the same time.

Friday I sewed like a mad woman and then headed up to my sisters house to FINALLY have x-mas with my family! Woo Hoo!

(honestly, I was *so* ready for the holiday to be over)

The girls and I spent the weekend up there and made it home late Sunday

And then Monday, hubby felt we needed to 'get away', so we headed over to the coast for the night and just got home a few hours ago

So basically no Internet the last 5 days (I can use that as an excuse, right?)

4 YEARS

It's hard to believe that 4 short years ago, my 'baby' was born, so I thought I would share a few photos.

This will be the final babe for our family (or I might REALLY go crazy). It has been an exhausting pregnancy so far, and I hope the nausea will go away very soon.
